About Clinton Hill Suzuki

Clinton Hill Suzuki was created by Julianne Carney based on her life-long career as a violinist, and 10 years experience as a trained Suzuki Method teacher.

Julianne also teaches at Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory, the Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College, and has taught at the Harlem Children’s Zone Promise Academy.

Julianne has completed long-term teacher training in the Suzuki Method at the School for Strings in Manhattan, and short term training at the Chicago Suzuki Institute.

Julianne graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, was a recipient of the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship in 2001, and maintains an active performing career as a classical and improvising violinist.
